If the paper figures do well you might contact the World works guys. They are long time print and fold wizards and have some of their own games as well as some D20 suplement stuff. It may be worth checking out at least as they have some vehicles and mechs.

As a treat, here is a test batch of paper minis to show you the style and size. Try them out and let me know what you think:

http://files.me.com/mosadciw/87mh4n

The solid lines are where you cut and the dotted lines are where you fold. On the large flap right on the fold is a solid line where you make a slit to insert the small flap into, if you don't want to tape or glue them together. The third side with the ghosted version of the image allows some space to write in stats or names if you'd like to make identifying things easier.

I've made them using cardstock and plain paper and both work well. I wouldn't recommend photo paper as the coating will likely crack when you fold it. It's helpful to score the folds when using cardstock to make the folds cleaner and sharper.

Please post your feedback here. The link will be live for 10 days.

Thanks.

Maybe it's just because i'm getting a 2d picture of a 3d image presented at an odd angle, but their stuff looks so "busy" that it's hard to tell what's going on and where one line starts and the next stops!  I mean, I like detail, but this seems a bit much.  They obviously put a lot of effort into their product but they may want to scale it back so it's not so visually cluttered.

I had a similar feeling too. They have high-quality stuff, but I think the photos of the minis in the environment don't help because there is so much detail everywhere. The way they do bases is kind of interesting.

Anyone download the sample yet? It'll only be available for a few more days....

Feedback would be helpful. Thanks.

Which do you use as the front? A flat face or dose the corner point in the direction of faceing?

The corner where the two sides are "facing" indicates direction of facing.

Warmonger is right. On an earlier version I had an arrow at the point. I got rid of it to simplify them. I was planning on creating an instruction sheet and a photo of some samples put together so I hope any confusion will disappear. Thanks for asking though.

I figured because of the one pircture that is faided. But I was curious because my first instinct would be to put the picture faceint the way the person is saposed to be face. So, flat side forward and the point would be the back. But because of the one faided pic that seemed odd. Did you consider along the way two faided and one not for that set up?

No I hadn't thought about that. One of the ideas for having the faded side was that if you wanted you could write stuff on that side, like armor threshold or BPs or the players name, whatever. On the paper HDs I'm planning, that side will be big enough that I am hoping to include the stat blocks from Engines of War in that space.
I'm also planning on having two-sided paper minis included as well, the table-tent variety, if you like those better.

Hi folks. Anyway, I am finishing up the first two batches of paper minis, and I was curious: I'm thinking of including some blank paper minis, as well as B&W line art versions if you want to color them yourself to make some more variations. Would those be helpful? Again, the first two releases will be all of the main rulebook races (male and female, plus the Nog) in street clothes, and all of the NML NPC races in street clothes.

Thanks.

The first two sets of Paper Minis are complete and will be in the online store shortly. They are Rulebook PC Races (27 different minis), and No Man's Land NPC races (29 different minis).
